Masjidku is an application designed to restore mosques as centers of human civilization and support the optimization of Muslim worship with prayer schedules and study reminders.
In the new media era like now, the level of mosque visits is not like it was during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. Once upon a time, mosques were centers for worship, education and social events. Lack of information to the congregation through new media is one of the things that has resulted in a decrease in mosque visitors.
Masjidku provides information on Islamic activities such as recitations and allows people to register for an activity, making it easier for mosque administrators to arrange logistics. Masjidku also makes it easier for ustadz to preach via smartphone with the help of push notification technology, so that preaching to the people can be done effectively and efficiently. Masjidku users can also enrich their knowledge about Islam via their mobile phone screen.
Masjidku also provides features to support worship such as accurate prayer schedules according to location and Qibla directions. Welcoming the month of Ramadan, the Imsak reminder feature is presented. Masjidku also provides information about the potential infaq and sadaqah needed by the mosque.
Indeed, believers are brothers. Allah SWT says: "Only those who prosper Allah's mosques are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and continue to perform prayers, pay zakat and are not afraid (of anyone) except Allah, then they are the people who are expected to be among the group of those who are guided." (QS. At-Taubah: 18).
We hope that Masjidku can make the mosque prosperous, as well as increase the people's sense of ownership of the mosque so that we can all compete in goodness. Amen.
